A new one for tonight....2011 NCAA Semis a wild one between two future NCAA Champions Dustin Kilgore vs Cam Simaz. Kilgore get this win this time and also beat Simaz by the same 10-9 score earlier in the season at the Body Bar Invitational. tinyurl.com/ku3rm88

Tonight's video is from back in 1997...NCAA Semi's. Tony Robie of Edinboro, now one of the top assistants in the country at Virginia Tech, upsets 1995 NCAA Champ Ernest Benion. I love Robie so I can have some fun here.... 1) He has hair! 2) He has lots of headgear issues! www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPXWOfoGwwY

With it being National Duals week I thought we needed to see a huge match from the 2006 edition. For those that don't remember, Dustin Schlatter was in the process of taking the college wrestling world by storm and his win over the defending NCAA Champion Zack Esposito in this match only added to the growing legend. Enjoy...2006 National Dual Finals Schlatter/Esposito www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIu5rPFHnBI

I realized today that I didn't have any Jordan Burroughs videos uploaded so I quickly changed that. 2009 NCAA Quarter-Finals vs Cyler Sanderson. Burroughs wins his first NCAA Title that year in a loaded,top-heavy bracket with NCAA Champions Jordan Leen, Gregor Gillespie and runner-up Mike Poeta. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvsK7Xy3C5U

Tonight's video is of future WWE/UFC Champion Brock Lesnar as a Senior at Minnesota in the NCAA Semi's. The scramble (or whatever you want to call it) leading up to the fall is among the craziest you'll ever see at the heavyweight class. His second takedown of Penn's Bandele Adeniyi-Bada is impressive and would be great if the 2nd ref wouldn't have blocked most of it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHmeulpGrxA

From yesterday until NCAA's I will be posting videos of past Hodge Trophy winners. The first is of Kyle Dake, from the NCAA Quarters in 2011. His opponent is Levi Jones of Boise State and little did we know at the time all Kyle would go onto accomplish. Here is his video... www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlcbhDREHBoToday I posted a video of 2003 Hodge Trophy winner Eric Larkin of Arizona State. Larkin was one of the best offensive wrestlers of his generation. Here he is in the NCAA Quarters his Senior season against Michigan State's Karl Nadolsky. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnI44S9STYs

It's been awhile so I felt like I really had to post a good one. 2001 NCAA Semi Finals between Daniel Cormier and Andy Hrovat. The two would go on to be Olympic teammates in 2008. In this bout they throw the kitchen sink at each other. Enjoy. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYG1PxxnSI4

It's been a few months since I've posted any videos so I wanted to come back strong. Five videos were uploaded today.... First, a huge upset from the 2002 NCAA Semis. Princeton's funky Greg Parker takes down the top seeded Otto Olson of Michigan. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlVmcYf0mmgSecond, a wild match with some good scoring from the 2006 Midlands Finals. One of the slickest, most exciting offensive guys of his era Mike Poeta against that seasons eventual NCAA Champ Trent Paulson. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZBdUGsO-AcNext, everyone's favorite Cary Kolat in the 1997 NCAA Semi's vs Oklahoma State's Scott Reyna. Not surprisingly, Kolat's video has the most views of this bunch already. www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8gX8G2HyqMThen a High School National Final matchup between two eventual 4x All-Americans and NCAA Champions with Troy Nickerson and Jayson Ness. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJnGJp4sQm4Finally, I can't believe that I haven't posted one of his video's yet, but from the 2000 NCAA Semi's Cael Sanderson vs Minnesota's Brandon Eggum. Eggum actually gets the first takedown and is one of the tougher opponents of Cael's career. www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6vBPAnOHU8

^^I liked the Cary Kolat video, which included a brief shot of Coach Carl Poff at the end. 1997 - Lock Haven had Kolat winning the NCAA's plus four more NCAA AA's, giving them fifth place at the tournament. I think Edinboro, which had a fabulous team, finished sixth that year. Thus, PSAC's with two teams in the top 6 at the NCAA's. Good year!
