A few weeks ago I spoke with Jake Herbert (not trying to name drop) for my "top-secret" project I'm working on. We talked about an important match in his career, to which he said he wished he had that video. I told him that I had just watched the match the night before. He claimed to have a "bounty" on this particular match and was very interested in getting a copy from me, then told me I had a goldmine in terms of wrestling video footage. So with that I've decided to upload some hard-to-find/rare/forgotten-about footage on a semi-regular basis. Most of my stuff is from 2000-12...with the bulk of it being "Pre-Flo Wrestling". Lots of high school and college. If anyone has any requests of individual wrestlers or matches, I'd be glad to put them up. The first match I've added is from the 2006 NWCA/National Duals between Cole Konrad and Steve Mocco. AKA the match where Konrad pinned Mocco. It was the first official win over Mocco for Konrad, after beating him in the All-Star match "unofficially". It also clinched the team dual title for Minnesota. Without further.... Here is the match www.youtube.com/watch?v=0G07pcvjBaUAnd this will be my channel www.youtube.com/channel/UC1h6PGF5qSMKaI0vIzab5-g

Matter of fact other than maybe the individual schools themselves having video footage of the match, I highly doubt that they exist. Nevertheless, I'm going out on a limb anyway, and I'm going to ask. From 2003 (may have been late 2002) Chris Rodrigues Vs Nick Simmons in a dual meet. It is the only time in Nick Simmons entire career (High School-College-international) where he was pinned. I believe that the duel took place at North Carolina. From the 2004 NCAA's - Levi Prevost Vs John Clark - My all time favorite match. From the 2003 NCAA's - Shane Roller Vs Matt Gentry From the 2005 NCAA's - Evan Sola Vs Mark Jayne. My favorite wrestler of course was Johnny Thompson of Oklahoma State, so any footage on him would be appreciated. I can literally think of probably 100 more matches that I loved watching live and would love to see again or that I never got to see but always wanted to. If you have any of the classic battles between Jeremy Spates and Travis Shufelt those would be appreciated. They wrestled a dozen times over the course of three years going back and forth. If Spates won it was by 1-3 points. If Shufelt won, it was by fall. Really anything and everything you have NCAA DI 2000-2005 (During the years wrestling still had little to no coverage television/internet wise) is going to vastly interest me. I'm very excited for these videos.

Another video was posted this morning. I had forgotten that this match existed until last night when I was going through my videos. USA Dream Team vs California in 2004, featuring future Cal-State Fullerton wrestler and eventual UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw upsetting 4x Minnesota State Champion Charlie Falck. Charlie was ranked #1 in the country at that point and on his way to Iowa where he would become a 4 year starter on 2 NCAA Championship Teams and placed 6th and 8th at Nationals. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWyCJA2izIk

Another one up today....This time from the 2008 NCAA Quarter Finals, Darrion Caldwell (NC State) over Dustin Schlatter (Minnesota). If you were to make a list of Darrion Caldwell's most famous matches, the first three may be his matches with Brent Metcalf. Then the Ryan Lang match, and then Bubba Jenkins in the 2008 NCAA Semi's. However, when speaking to him recently Caldwell told me that this was maybe his favorite match. Schlatter was still the "guy to beat" at this point in time. While this match doesn't have the high flying maneuvers that you've been accustomed to watch DC, I think it makes it more special. I like to say that he "Out-Schlattered, Schlatter" in this match, because he beat him in a match that was more Dustin's style than his own. Enjoy... www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLM-qlSX29w

One final match for the night...This was the one that started it all. Jake Herbert's elusive match. He was looking for it for years and as he pointed out...his dad is shown filming at the end. It also happened to be his 21st birthday. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoZVoln1yR4

Since he got a win today at the Global Wrestling Championships....Lets take a look back at the 2007 All-Star Classic with some vintage Tervel Dlagnev. So slick for a big man on the feet. Also it's a shame that Wade Sauer was injured and never got to compete at NCAA's in 2008 or 2009. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrR-DV1bwwk

Tonight's video is a salute to a guy who got his first career victory as a Head Coach on Friday Night Troy Nickerson of Northern Colorado. This video features him as a High School Junior winning a Beast of the East Title against future Brown NCAA Qualifier Jeff Schell. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlXoy-PgF8g

Tonight's video's is one of my favorites...Everyone remember's Rob Rohn's Hail Mary Cement Job in the NCAA Final vs Josh Lambrecht. However, he needed another big move in the Semi's to get by Iowa's Jessman Smith. Pennsylvania fans correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this was the Flying Cement Job. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqMzl8kHdzs&feature=youtu.be
