I must agree with 125. I was touting the event based on last two years. This field looks weak by comparison. Too bad! Both the area and weather are much friendlier compared to Midlands.

Last year this was a better tourney then midlands I thought but this year looking at the teams its not quite as great...
Anyone remember teams other then missouri that attended last year but arent going to be there this year? My memories foggy but I could have sworn there were some other top 10 teams there.

The Southern Shuffle is a joke! And In Division I any team not in the top 4 is NOT a very good team! NO exceptions! So don't try to impress me with all your teams that finished 47th ect. The fact is THIS year you have ONE top 5 team and NO more quality teams entered. So Just stop with your BS!

Willy-I'm not trying to impress anybody. I believe I stated the entire Division I fields last year from all of those tournaments. FYI, if you go by points earned in the NCAA Tournament last year, the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational was first (by a mile), followed by the Midlands, and then the Scuffle (based on last year's fields). BTW, here's a piece of trivia for you. Ben Askren won every single match in both the CKLV and the Scuffle via first period pin! To him, what the heck is the colored disk toss anyway?

The Fact is Iowa and OSU were Not very good teams last year! Iowa has been terrible for several years. There is a reason Zaleski was thrown under the bus. Finishng 8th is a place roe eastern teams to brag about not Iowa! For us that is a disasterous season.
But don't ask me ask coach Brands! You can bet you family jewels that He sure as Heck doesnt consider last years team very good by any standards. I think the difference is WE Expect only NCAA champions and total team domination as meeting expectations. While 97% of the reat of the teams thinl top ten is great. That doesn't play here in Iowa.
