2014-15 EWL Wrestler of the Year: Mitchell Port (Edinboro) Mitchell Port ended his Edinboro career with a 2nd NCAA Runner-Up finish and third All-American honor, overall (2nd, 3rd, 2nd). In his Senior season Port only dropped two matches, both to 4x NCAA Champion Logan Stieber. This season he also won his second Midlands Title, defeating 3x All-American Devin Carter in the finals and his 3x EWL Championship. His 132-17 record is good for 8th on the Edinboro All-Time wins list. He is the first wrestler to be named a 3x D1CW Conference Wrestler of the Year, in any conference since D1CW's inception after the 2007 season.
2014-15 EWL Coach of the Year: Tim Flynn (Edinboro) The Edinboro Fighting Scots only needed one year to top 2013-14's program high 5th place finish at the NCAA Championships. They finished in third place overall, led by a pair of NCAA Runner's-Up and 2 3rd place finishers. Putting two wrestlers in the NCAA Finals is a feat that had previously only happened once in program history. These feats were accomplished despite losing an undefeated 157lber (Austin Matthews) who was ranked in the top ten at the time of his injury. This is the second consecutive season that Tim Flynn has been named EWL Coach of the Year and fourth time overall.
2014-15 EWL Freshman of the Year: Bryant Clagon (Rider) A fifth place finish at the NCAA Championships for Bryant Clagon saw him become the first Freshman All-American in Rider's wrestling history. The journey to fifth place saw the 15th seeded Clagon defeat the 16th, 13th, 8th and 5th seeds. Two of those victories avenged prior regular season losses, most notably the Round of 12 win over Penn's CJ Cobb. Prior to National's, Bryant was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the EWL Championships when he defeated the #1 wrestler in the nation, David Habat of Edinboro.
