They have had some recruiting success in the past few years? Could this be a breakout year for them or are they still a little young? I would think there season depends on the development of wrestlers like Steve Bell, Medina, and Josh Haines. Heard from someone on the team that Bradley is injured and maybe lost for the year at 57 which is definitely a loss for them.

NE, I like the Terps chances for the upcoming season. Individually they have a chance at two All-Americans this year (Mike Letts, Hudson Taylor). As a team, they are my favorite to win the ACC's. An injury to Bradley would certainly hurt them, I haven't heard anything about it, but am looking into it. If he's not availible, that would most likely push true freshman Brian Letters into duty. The health of Bell and Haines are both essential to the Terps this year. Both were big-time recruits which haven't been able to show their true potential, because of injuries. I'm looking forward to seeing Medina, he should win alot of matches for UMD.

^^^ne125, Thanks for posting UMD info. Yes – breakout year for UMD. The Terps are glutted with talent under Pat Santoro (entering his 5th year as Terp leader). Say: 125 Bryne (sucking down from 133), Knox, Golden, Ruland, Strizki; 133 Bell, Lederer, Bogusz; 141 Pinto (Krom RS), Kohler, Brown; 149 Medina, Fehnel, John; 157 Brian Letters, MacLean, Bradley, Grida, Stout; 165 McGill, Fedechko (could he go 157?), is Kennett in the room?; 174 Mike “The Hammer” Letts, Nielson; 184 Haines, DePierto, is Eli Black in the room?; 197 Hudson “Funk” Taylor; hwt Reiss, Gilmore, Price. The talent level is incredible. I hope UMD releases a roster soon. –Stove Pipe

Hey StovePipe, do you really think there is a legitimate chance that Byrne would move down to 125? I have not heard that but then again I am not really a Maryland insider. That would defintely bolster their lineup even more. Stove Pipe, have you heard he might be going 125? Interesting. Haines and Bell have alot of talent but the injury bug has slowed them down. Hopefully they can step up. Letters would probably start if Bradley is out, hopefully he can surprise.

ne125, Yes, the word around the Terp campfire (acquarium?) is that Byrne aims to go 125. If Byrne can cert/hold 125, that could give the Terps a starting lineup of: 125 Byrne (from NJ), 133 Bell (from PA), 141 Pinto (from NJ), 149 Medina (Blair NJ), 157 Letters (PA), Guida (PA),or MacLean (NJ), 165 Fedechko (Blair/NJ) or McGill (from MD), 174 Letts (from PA), 184 Haines (from PA), 197 Taylor (from NJ), and hwt Reiss (from PA) or Gilmore (from PA). Man, that is a lot of out-of-state horsepower. -Stove Pipe

What's up with Bradley? He is a really nice young man. Hope it isn't serious.

Honestly LWTLooker, I am not 100% sure. I think it is a shoulder injury of some sort. I think he got injured his redshirt year and they were probably looking for him to contend this year at 57, but one of the guys on the teams said he injured/re-injured a shoulder (I think). It's not anything career altering or anything like that. Tough break for the terps. Kind of like what happened to Bell last year when he was projected to start as a RS freshmen but her his shoulder.
