Intermat reported today that 2 of the top NJCAA wrestlers will tranfer to D1 school's.
Chris Notte of Nassau CC, the #1 ranked 133 lber in the NJCAA will wrestle for Hofstra in 2008-09. Notte was a 3x placewinner in New Jersey.
David Greenwald of Iowa Central CC, the #1 ranked 141 lber in the NJCAA will wrestle for Rutgers in 2008-09. Greenwald was a 2X finalist and placed all four years in high school in NJ. Another potential stud for Rutgers!!
Both have been added to their respective teams recruiting section.

^^^InterMatt had Chris Notte projected at 141, for whatever the reason. Hofstra also is redshirting true frosh Justin Accordino, who could cert next year at 141. The Pride also has a back-up 133/141 pounder, Jeff Rotella, out of NJ, who spot starts. I saw Rotella this past weekend at the CAA Duals bumped up at 149 and he's a tough kid.
I'd guess that next season Ruggirello stays at 133, and the main competition for the 141-pound starting spot could be between Notte, Accordino and Rotella. If Notte isn't big enough for 141, I assume he helps out at 133. We shall see, -Stove Pipe
