Just wanted to throw Steve a bone. Nice job down there in ole Virginny. Steve's a long time acquaintance of our family. great guy!Talented coach. I think he is doing a fabulous job.10-3, 6th at Scuffle. Last year UVA 7-10 in duals and 4th ACC. think they finished in 20s at Reno and around 20 at Midlands. They are going to give Santoro and MD a run this year imo. Mark Feb 24th if you live near Memorial gym.

I agree with you whole heartedly. I've had the opportunity to see the Cavs on a few occasions this year and they are headed in the right direction. The recruiting class last season was excellent, this years seems very solid too. I had the pleasure of meeting Coach Moore and Garland earlier this year and came away impressed. I know quite a few people here in VA who feel the same way I do about the positive future in Charlottesville. And yes, Feb 24th has been marked on my calendar for awhile.

I just reread. no dis to Rick either. He is doing an exemplary job at UMD. UMD was one of Connor's pick to visit. I was very impressed by Coach Santoro. He was precise and honest in the info he gave to Connor, Barbara and I. Truth be told in each instance of Connors top five the coaches were exemplary in their honesty.

^^^Yes, Coach Garland, Scott Moore, and his UVA staff and team are having a very good dual-meet season, and have hammered lehigh a couple times in dual meets this season. I mention the UVA hammer wins over lehigh, because I root for the Cavs (and many teams) and because - OBVIOUSLY - we have a very pro-lehigh ax grinder on Earl Smith's Div I forums. Let's have at it in this open forum situation.
YES, I recognize that UVA's coaching staff is performing way above many of the other Div I staffs. After two of the Virginia blow-out wins over lehigh, I contacted the UVA staff to congratulate them. From what I understand, the UVA coaches are getting a lot of congratulations. On we go, -Allen Brown who posts here as Stove Pipe
