Metcalf just kicked Jenkins into the next universe this afternoon! I was 25 - 11 when he pinned him in the third period! Jenkins was totally gassed after the 1st period! And had totally quit after the second! This is one of those extremely rare matches that comes along once every 20 years where a Great wrestler just crushes a great wrestler and totally breaks him!
Bubby will NEVER want to face him again!

willy - I couldn't have said it better myself. To have the first minute that Jenkins had and then to be so completely humiliated - WOW.

That IS interesting. Odd how Jenkins totally got out of shape in one week! I wonder if the rumor that he had the flu was actually true?

Totally, Completely, and not even a wiff of a fume of Gas in his tank! Metcalf Just blasted his Backside out of Dodge!!!!!!!!!!! And the bottom line was Jenkin's was HUMILIATED and BROKEN MENTALLY! I hope this match finds its way to YouTube or Flowrestling.com. You must see it to believe what Metcalf did to him! You can't spin it!

Well willyman, I didn't see the match, and I am not predisposed towards either Jenkins or Metcalf. I understand that they are BOTH very good wrestlers. I'm not so sure I want to see Jenkins totally 'humliated'. I realize your passion for Metcalf may cause you to savor such moments, but unless I really hated Jenkins, I might actually feel a bit of sorrow for him having suffered such a devastating loss. I can see Metcalf walking thru him if Jenkins was suffering from fatigue, which may have something to do with him having been ill. (no spin dude) Here's what I'm wondering: more towards the earlier part of the season, Metcalf was totally humiliated -- since you really seem to like that word-- by Caldwell. I don't remember, but was anyone rubbing that in your face, or anyone's face who happens to be a Metcalf devotee? These things tend to go round and round. l49 is an ecletic, very exciting weight class, that currently seems to have no real favorite. Metcalf is surely one of the major contenders, but so are others. I think getting excited about your local wrestlers is wonderful. But I've never really been able to bring myself to the point where I love another wrestler's humiliation -- just because he happens to be from a different part of the country. I'm quite sure Bubba Jenkins is a pretty solid individual, from what I've read about him. I don't mind seeing him get beat. But I don't want to see him being humiliated; not unless he does something to prove he's a real idiot.

^^^WillyMan, Are you posting over on WR.com as "quietstrength?" There seems to be style/syntax/content similarities. Thanks, -Stove Pipe
