The boys had two nice wins so far Rider and Bucknell. Kadeem Samuels is coming on and improves with every match.

I thought the team wrestled pretty well. They were 2-2. The loss to VA. was wrestled well although the score doesn't show it. Caruso lost 3-0 and Galante lost 3-2 dbl ot. lllinini just had too much firepower for us. I do think the guys are improving though and hope to see better results as we move toward the Conferences and NCAAs

^^^ltwlooker, Thanks for the reply. I assume you have a vested interest in lehigh wrestling. Last season lehigh scored ten points at the NCAA Tournament. How many points do you think lehigh will score at the 2008 NCAA Tournament? Frankly, I am not a lehigh fan and don't see that they are now poised to have a good 2008.
There was a poster several years back on TheMat forum - let's call him "Brass Horn" - who always trumpeted the lehigh program. We finally figured out that his son had a lehigh scholly. After a couple years the son transferred out of lehigh and Brass Horn stopped posting.
Whatever, and please keep on posting about lehigh. Thanks very much, Stove Pipe

I was slightly impressed with Lehigh this weekend. The Illinois match had quite a few matches that were close and most were closer than I expected. What makes it impressive is who/what the are doing it with. A lot of their starters are young and were not quite blue-chip recruits.

My son does indeed got to Lehigh but I have been a fan since Jon Trenge started wearing eye protection after his injury. We had a youth wrestler who needed to wear a head gear and I pointed out how well one could do to the kid and in watching him go became an admirer of his wrestling. A powerful technical wrestler I think that Lehigh is showing the problems of losing Grey, Flynn and now Craig and having a very young team. Nak and Santo are Srs Chin is a jr, and they are starting 5 freshmen and 2 sophs. That is the reason I am confident that the team will improve as the season continues. The coaching is there to bring the young wrestlers along. Nak, Chinn, and Santo are doing about as well as they are expected. That's how I see it. I think Ciasuli. Nak, Chin, Galante will go to the show in March. The RS squad of Fisk, McDonald Rosser, Biladeau,Hatchett and Rey look fairly strong to me if they are healthy and ready to compete and i think Mele will return from his committment as well. So i have high hopes for the next several years.
