Saw he lost by DQ to Chris Brown of ODU, does anyone know how this came about?
Also, does anyone know the details surrounding Caldwell pinning Metcalf?

Copied and pasted from themat.com.....this is LwdSteve's account. He is a loyal St. Ed's fan who really doesn't have a dog in this fight.....
With Perry trailing big, on their feet and tied-up, Steve Martin, as fiesty as I remember when he was coaching Great Bridge, starts yelling that Perry is trying to choke Brown. The ref stops action and warns Perry. Brands yells at the referee STOP LISTENING TO MARTIN. It's humorous. It gets stopped for blood on Brown's forehead (that was second or third blood stoppage for his forehead) again and suddenly Brown's called to the center and his hand goes up. I can only guess that Perry said something (maybe swearing?) to the ref during the stoppage

Also...This is from "Sockobuc" over at the mat
i just got back from cleveland....it is pretty ....... cold there and the hawks didnt have a good time. really the had two losses from their big guns and both were legit. the first one was perry's loss to brown. i missed the first 4 points for brown, but i believe it was 2 and 2nf.at this point i made the comment that i couldnt believe no one had a clue that a national champ was in serious trouble. the second period was spent with perry being ridden before he rolled with his arm getting caught for a 2 count and an escape. brown got an escape in the third before perry went on a tear racking up penalty points. he really looked like he was trying to pin brown and if that didnt work he was going to choke him to death. after holding a head lock 5 seconds after the whistle he was called for a chake in a side headlock position where brown had scored a takedown and perry was trying to choke him over or out. i guess perry had choice words for the stoppage. now for caldwell... he was controlling the pace and ties before the spladle. this was not a fluke spladle. he was in a throw by situation and everyone in the gym (by everyone i mean the 200 in attendance minus half the crowd that had no idea a great match was going on... ) had to see it coming. caldwell has a plan that he wants this throw by to a spladle and it is no fluke he gets it. after taking him over the ref procedes to look at metcalf's shoulders from his head side. i have never seen a ref look for a pin there in a spladle situation. being one of five fans for nc state there (we were the two midgets yelling for the pin) we let the official know he needs to look at the lower back and he calls the pin after 20 seconds. brands goes nuts. by the time the ref looked at the right part of the back metcalf was sliding his shoulders up on caldwell. make no mistake he was stuck. other noteables were leclare losing 2 matches. he should have been majored by caramanica, it ended 9-2, and lost to ryan williams. i would be shocked if t-shirt was not pulled from the red-shirt. another loss was morningstar to a kid from findlay. i passed off any of flaps comments, but seeing the hawks today they have some major holes. it was a good day of wrestling and lots in the cleveland area missed out.
