Early reports have OSU's 149 lber Quinten Fuentes getting knocked off by Binghamton's Kyle Fried. Fried also upset Iowa St.'s Mitch Mueller last weekend.

This is second hand but very exciting news for the Pokes first dual:
We sounded pumped for the first match as everyone but Fuentes and Dieffenbach came out and got almost immediate takedowns. Rosholt did not wrestle as his man forfeited. Except for the two weights mentioned all the wrestlers had multiple takedowns and most including Cody Hill had back points or pins. Dieffenbach wrestled very cautiously and it was 0-0 at end of the first period. He took down and got a quick escape. He then shot a double leg for the only takedown and there was no more scoring in the match. Shelton hit his "sheltonater" move twice for back points and ended up with a tech fall. Ashmore and Scott had quick falls and Nathan had a tech fall. Newly had a fall after getting a quick takedown. Mason took his man down immediately and then put the legs in. His opponent tried to roll and was caught by Brandon for the fall. Cody Hill had 4-5 takedowns en route to his major decision. All in all, very productive outing. Lets go Pokes!!!
Final OSU 48-3 over Binghampton. If anybody gets any other results please post.Thanx in advance.

OSU vs Clarion results. 125 Ashmore 7-1 over Ivanco. 133 Coleman fall Tony Lescari 6+ min.
141Morgan 11-3 Sal Lescari. 149 Hadley Harrison 6-5 Fuentes. 157 Newly fall 1:02. 165 David Cox 15-10 Wainscott (no stalling here, cox w/ 2 cradles for margin of victory).

Sounded like an exciting duel. Congrats to the terps. In an interview after 2nd match John acknowledged N.Y. has great fans and he is going to recruit heavier there in the future.
