The exciting thing for Iowa fans from this weekend is the ability they showed to get extra points in the tourney in the early rounds against the unranked guys.......lots of pins, could make the difference in the team race, very impressive.

Is this FINAL - will ALEX TSIRTSIS be the man for the season, OR being that it is so close between LeClere & Tsirtsis - will Brands choose to Red-Shirt Tsirtsis and go with LeClere this season?

Tsirtsis will wretle unattached in open tournments and not in any duals. This was stated by Tsirtsis and Brands on media day. They said that no decision will be final till after Christmas.
The second point, that came out reading between the lines is I believe Tsirtsis has givenback part of his full Scholly to help built the team and recruit more top wrestlers. I can't say it is fact but it sure was obvious that something has been done in that area. I got this from the Tsirtsis interview as well. It told me that he has finally bought into his role as a senior team leader which he talked about at length on media day.
