The word out of Iowa City is Jordon Johnson is going to be in the wrestle offs this week at 197. This could be great news for the hawks and filling the last big hole in the lineup!

Any word on 141 yet? Are Leclere and Tsirtsis going to wrestle-off this weekend?

Leclere and Tsirtsis are scheduled to wrestle off Saturday morning as of now. The word I have from multiple sources is that Brands is Redshirtig one wrestler this year. And In the starting lineup only Fields and Tsirtsis have never red shirted. As I told you last summer, I was told that it will be Tsirtsis. Enough of the they said, he said, we will know by the end of the week.

According to the lastest Iowa press release Johnson will be wrestling off this weekend at heavyweight.

Please read the Iowa city prees story............ you don't have the lastest news!
"Johnson wrestled as a heavyweight last year at Bettendorf but will wrestle Ambrose at 197 on Saturday in the final round of Iowa's three-day series of wrestle-offs".
"The Hawkeyes are weighing all options with senior Alex Tsirtsis and junior Dan Erekson, who both have been starters for Iowa since their first year in the program and could be redshirt candidates this season".

I've read the story. The info I was given is from the Iowa Wrestling SID today. Could be wrong though, we'll see I guess.
