Earl-If you happen to have the scores for the third and fifth place matches, that would be outstanding (Unfortunately, most of them got cut off the end of the pages)! Thanks in advance!

285-Scott Steele (Navy) dec Ed Pendergrest (Navy) 5-1 Wow. A National Qualifier and nationally ranked guy gets beat by a teammate.

I also was suprised by the 174lb result. Matt Cauley is an NAIA runner-up, but I wouldn't expect him to pin Stolpinski.

I would think 174 would have to be considered major upset........#2 in the country hearing the whistle blow and the slap of the mat.........Congrats to Cauley! That's why you wrestle em'. I would love to hear someone's description of what happened. Did he get caught or did Cauley just execute and turn him on his own valition. Either way, again, congrats.

Yankeekev They were both in a scramble on the edge of the mat and apparently Stolpinski's shoulders touched and the ref called the fall. It was an extremely quick call on the refs part. I honestly didn't agree with it and didn't think there was a fall. It looked as if Stolpinski had 1 shoulder touching the mat and the other shoulder was in the air and out of bounds when the fall was called. Maybe from the refs angle both shoulder blades touched in bounds but i don't think they did. The navy coaches were extremely upset with the call.

WHAT....the refs made a bad call......are you serious?LOL .....I have only watched one ref worth his pay in the last 25 years......they are usually too slow to get down there and get a good angle and to slap the mat.....except when they shouldn't and then they slap it for no apparent reason....tough break for Stolpinski....I hope he gets in some scrambles with Mason....makes for some exciting moments in the match. Thanks tec 87 for the description.... yankeekev
