Wahoo!!!!!!!!!!! I went to the high school chili dinner fund raiser tonight to support the locals. I am going to Omaha in two weeks for the first time. L8agin comes back each year bragging about the great matches I missed. I am on edge waiting for this season to get going. Orange Black is in 1 week which should give some indication how much progress is being made in the room behind closed doors. Brandon Mason from what i hear is making solid strides. Don't count him out this year. If anyone else is going to Omaha and wants to trade yarns give me a shout, I love talking wrestling. [e-mail]

Can't say I did...could never make the minimum weight for 105 in high school, so nobody ever got a chance to see me wrestle...

Did you follow their program? I was wondering what John Perna is up to these days. I was a friend of his in college.

Not really...I didn't enroll there until after the program was cut...if you want irony, actually, I was a team manager for their (Everybody, Duck and Run For Cover) basketball team...truth is, I got sick of all of the basketball stuff after somebody collapsed and died at an AAU tournament (I was the 9-1-1 caller), and all I saw from the press was "damage control" and all I saw from the people running the tournament was "We've got your money, suckers!"...I still do statistics for quite a few of the AAU Basketball tournaments, but I can't really say I enjoy the sport (the on-field product or the politics) quite like I do the wrestling...
