side note....I watched Ervin for App State in the finals as a senior in H.S. beat the kid Ok. State signed for the state title. I was always curious why Ok. State went so hard after Porter and had no interest in Ervin. I wish him well and hope he wins it all.

^^^KEV, I don't know why Scott Ervin decided to go to Appalachian State (rather than Okla State) - maybe he wanted a good football school? You talking about Justin Porter, right? - the two-time Oklahoma state champ who transferred to Clarion University. Just kidding about the football, -Stove Pipe

>>>>Stove Pipe, I don't think Scott chose App. St. over OSU, I think OSU chose Porter over Scott (and yes it is Justin Porter), Scott handled Justin easily in their finals bout. My brother and I had an arguement during the match thinking which kid should have been pursued. Of course it isn't an exact science or you would only recruit national champions LOL. yankeekev

^^^Kev, I was just trying to set you up to take a shot at Okla State football. I root for both Porter and Scott, and hope we get to see Porter in a Clarion singlet after first semester. Yes, Scott's having a good college career. and this is the fifth year for both. I enjoy your posts very much, -Stove Pipe
