He will join his older brother and current Hawkeye, Matt. He is #30 on the top 100 recruits this year. And is a three time place winner and defending State Champion.
Mark is projected to go at 133 or 141 in college.
Good get for the Hawks.
The Iowa class this year includes:
126# Nate Moore #1 rated @125 133/141# Mark Ballweg #7 @ 130# 174# Jordon Blanton #5 rated @171 174/184# Grant Gambrell #4 rated @ 171

Grant Gambrall is #2 at 171 and Jordan Blanton is #4. I hope one of these 2 can make 165. We are set at 174 and 184 with Beatty and Borschel.

Depends on whose ratings you choose to quote.
With Beatty's concussion history, I'm not ready to say that the Hawks are "set" at 174 until Beatty wrestles an entire season. Besides, both Beatty and Borschel are redshirt sophomores - meaning after Blanton and Gambrall take a redshirt they'll still be competing for the 174 (or 184) job for at least 3 years. If either went down after redshirting. they'd be competing with Jake Kerr for the 165 spot
