Quite a few top 100 and other notable recruits have made the college choices known over the past few days. Here are some of the big ones....
D1CW's #47 overall recruit Markus Simmmons had given a verbal to Iowa State. Simmons will be a 125/133 type for the Cyclones. In 2013-14 he placed 4th at the Ironman and Oklahoma State Champion at the 6A level.
Another Oklahoma high schooler to who committed was Davion Jeffries, like Simmons also from Broken Arrow. He will stay in state to wrestle for the Oklahoma Sooners. Jeffries was a Runner-Up last season and placed at the Super 32, Ironman and FloNationals.
The highest ranked recruit in the Class of 2015 to commit recently has been 2x Virginia State Champion Dylan Wisman, ranked #28 by D1CW. Wisman, a Champion at NHSCA Jr's and FloNationals, committed to Missouri. He was also 3rd in Junior National Freestyle and at the Beast of the East. He projects as a 184lber for the Tigers.
Old Dominion picked up their 2nd top 100 verbal from the Class of 2015 with the commitment of Ohio State 3rd Placer Ben Schram. Schram is another NHSCA Junior National Champion who placed 5th at last years preseason Super 32. He could fit in at 165/174 for Coach Martin.
Bloomsburg got verbals from a pair of in-state prospects, Billy Barnes and Bo Spiller. Though neither is a Top 100 recruit at this point in time, both are the types of kids that Bloomsburg needs to keep. Barnes was a Pennsylvania AA Runner-Up at 145 and Spiller placed 4th in AAA wrestling at 220.
