^^^I think Liberty is wrestling Gardner-Webb at home on Nov 11. Should be a good dual meet! I'm interested in seeing whether Pantaleo makes weight for that event. Maybe Katz is a bit lighter than Pantaleo? Well, I guess the bottom line here is that this is the last season that Pantaleo will have to suck down to 125. I'd suppose he'll have the green light to go 133 next year! -Stove Pipe

Hey Earl or Bronco - Do you have any results of the Boise State wrestle-offs or what at they are planning on doing at certain weights and with redshirt years? I think Levi Jones and Casperson using redshirts would be good for next year. I think they have duals today and tomorrow.

Hey Earl or Bronco - Do you have any results of the Boise State wrestle-offs or what at they are planning on doing at certain weights and with redshirt years? I think Levi Jones and Casperson using redshirts would be good for next year. I think they have duals today and tomorrow. Boise State usually doesn't have wrestle-offs unless necessary. They usually go by who does better in the Open tournaments that the team competes in during the early part of the season. The following is what I was told will (likely) be the lineup for Boise State this season tho: 125 lbs - Both Alan Bartelli (Soph) and Brian Owen (True FR) will start at this weight class. BSU will need both of them and neither one of them will be redshirted this season. 133 lbs. - Andrew Hochstrasser (Soph) will start at this weight class and Josh Strait (True FR) and David Burgara (True FR) will also be at this weight class. NOTE - Shawn Jones will also be transferring from Arizona State to BSU next fall and will probably be at 133 lbs or 141 lbs. Jones has been on an LDS church mission since the 2006-2007 season. 141 lbs. - Cory Fish (Senior) is supposed to start here this season and Eli Hutchison (Soph) will also be at this weight class. Levi Jones will be redshirted this season. Brad Perry (True FR) will also be at 141 lbs. 149 lbs. - Nathaniel Holt (Soph) is supposed to start here but if he doesn't do well they may utilize Jason Chamberlain (True FR) here. Troy Walker (RS FR) will also be at 149 lbs. Eli Hutchison could also be at this weight class as well if needed. 157 lbs. - Adam Hall (Soph) and Brad Muri (Soph) will be at this weight class. 165 lbs. - Tyler Sherfey (Senior) and Kurt Swartz (Soph) will be at this weight class along with true freshmen Michael Cuthbertson and Brad Sweet. 174 lbs. - Nate Lee (Junior) and possibly Kurt Swartz (Soph) along with Tyler Roshau (Soph) and Levi Holt (RS FR) 184 lbs. - Kirk Smith (Soph) and Reed Kaus (True FR) and possibly Tyler Roshau (Soph) 197 lbs. - Brent Chriswell (Soph) and Ryan Allen (Junior). Matt Casperson (Junior) will be redshirted this season if possible. Jacob Newmann (True FR) will also be at 197 lbs. 285 lbs. - Nick Smith (Senior) and Andy Patrick (Senior). Sam Zylstra (Junior) and Chis Givens (Soph) will probably be redshirted. Ryan Allen may also see time at Hwy if needed.

I said a long time ago that Holt at 149 was a great pickup. And Chriswell at 197 will add strenghth and depth. I love that BSU will be at the National Duals in Iowa. BSU`s cry should be, fear no one, challenge all! Just my view.

BSU will come face the best wrestling schools in the US. The National Duals are the greatest. BSU is ready and let the mat decide.

This could be BSU's best team ever and could get even better next year. It will be fun to see how they do against the best teams in the country. The Pac-10 tournament could be a BSU dual match. I am glad to hear that Jones is coming back to Idaho, although he will come to some pretty stacked lower weight classes. Is he currently enrolled and redshirting or is he coming in next year. I think he has a redshirt doesn't he?
