NCAA Runner-Up Ohio State Buckeyes will hold their wrestle-off's this Thursday at 7:45 at St. John Arena. Here are the matchups:
125-Pat Harrington (RFr) vs Nikko Triggas (So) 133-Owen Schaefer (Sr) vs Reece Humphrey (RJr) 141-J Jaggers no match 149-Jared Kusar (Fr) vs Lance Palmer (Jr) 157-Jason Johnstone (Sr) vs Sean Nemec (RFr) 165-Colt Sponseller (So) vs Ross Ambrose (So) 174-Dave Rella (Jr) vs Cody Magrum (Fr) 184-Mike Pucillo no match 197-John Weakley (So) vs Cody Gardner (RFr) 285-Corey Morrison (RJr) vs John Hiles (Fr)
I, along with others I'm sure, am anxiously awaiting that 157lb match.

^^^Cody Gardner wrestled in a dual meet for VT at the beginning of his freshman season, but was able to get a RS for that year. Having four years to compete is better than three. -Stove Pipe

Are you being serious? Ohio State Career/2007-08 (RS-Freshman Season) – Compiled 25-5 record competing in open tournaments ... finished fi rst at Cleveland State and Edinboro tournaments. St. Edward – Three-time Ohio High School State Champion as four-time fi nalist ... two-time Junior National freestyle All-American (third-2006 and sixth-2005) ... 2004 Cadet Freestyle National Champion ...finished fi rst at 2005 IronMan and Beast of the East tournaments ... four-year letterwinner ... amassed record of 130-16 ... helped Eagles to team state title in 2007, as well as national team title. Thanks for the info. The name just did not ring a bell. I will look forward to seeing him on the national stage. Sponseller impressed me last year, along with the whole team. Should be a great season coming up.
