Coach Brian Smith's Tigers got a verbal from Intermat's 8th ranked recruit Zach Toal of Ohio. Zach is a 2x Ohio DIII state champ. This leaves only four of the top ten recruits uncommitted. For more on Zach Toal... d1collegewrestling.net/Recruiting_Miss.html

Wow that is great news! I was starting to get a little worried about them not having any commitments. Hopefully this will open up the gates for others to come in. Smith has done a great job with the program and being in the top 10 every year doesn't hurt for recruiting. I would like to see them keep more of the top wrestlers in-state though.

Yeah judging by the results at Fargo this summer there is a lot of talent graduating this year and next in Missouri.

Yes, wrestling in Missouri has gotten very competitive. With more programs starting across the state more kids are getting to wrestle with better coaches and work out partners. Should help MO stay up close and in the top 5 year after year. Getting back to the recruits I would have liked to see the Lester boys stay home and wrestle for Mizzou, Spates has picked up some great talent out of MO lets see what he can do with it. Best of luck to all of them until they go against MU.
