Do they have a conference or region to qualify for the NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS. They are D1 team. Just curious!

jfs-They aren't eligible to qualify for the NCAA Championships until the 2012-2013 season, thanks to their athletic director using their fast-track option on men's soccer instead (only a moron would fast-track a team sport)

Let me get this straight. They can not qualify by the rules of the administration, and not the NCAA? So this school can only recruit wrestlers that do not want to be NCAA champs? And this fast track situation is in the way. What fast track situation blocks another sport? This is the most weak attempt to satisfy the wrestling community, that I have ever seen.

jfs-Each school, when they move up, is allowed to fast-track one men's and one women's sport. North Dakota State, South Dakota State, and Northern Colorado all (if I am not mistaken, Jason or somebody else, please correct me on this) fast-tracked wrestling as their men's sport, meaning they only had to wait two years instead of four. In their infinitely absent wisdom, SIU-Edwardsville decided to fast-track men's soccer and women's softball (and as I said prior, only a moron would fast-track a team sport...men's soccer may have been to five straight D-2 Regionals, but that likely won't mean much if anything at the Division I level, unless they think they can replicate their 1979 success when they won a D-1 national title, and they had men's soccer as their showcase sport up until the 1995-1996 season) www.siue.edu/ATHLETIC/MSOC/REC/msocncaa.html
