^^^I was over at American University this morning (8/4) and happened to run into Quinton Pruett, who told me that he's enrolling at American U and will be competing for the Eagles this fall. As you all know, Pruett placed fifth in the 2008 Pac Ten Tournament, competing at hwt for Arizona State. -Stove Pipe

Ouch...another loss for the Sun Devils! I have to ask whether this is all related to the proposed dropping of the sport, a possible falling-out with Thom Ortiz, or something else...Arizona State has had, what, three starters transfer this offseason?

^^^Most of the few things that I know about the Pruetts is buplic knowledge. From what I recall, very soon after Arizona State announced that they were dropping wrestling and releasing their wrestlers, two of the Sun Devils who quickly got permission to talk to other schools were Quinton and Preston Pruett. I have been following the Pruett-transfer saga all summer. Today I verified that Quinton is enrolling at American U and that Preston, who is an engineering major, is staying at Arizona State. Preston's probably a 157/165 pounder. On we go, -Stove Pipe
