Championship predictions: 125: Donahoe (Neb) dec. Escabedo (Ind) -Donahoe steps up big at the tournament and gets it done --Sleeper: Falck (Iowa)
133: Scott (OSU) dec. Fanthorpe (ISU) -Coleman won't be denied in his senior season; Fanthorpe gets a confidence boost with an impressive showing at the Big 12 and rolls into NCAAs --Sleeper: Ruggirello (Hofstra)
141: Mendes (Cal Poly) dec. Griffin (Hofstra) -Mendes has done it all year long, look for a strong finish. Could face Russell in the final, but I don't think that this true freshman is going to beat a senior with national (AA) experience. (If the two should meet) --Sleeper: Gallick (ISU)
149: Schlatter (Minn) dec. Metcalf (Iowa) -Dustin avenges his loss at the Big 10 in OT. However, if Caldwell gets hot, he's athletic enough to make serious noise on his side of the bracket --Sleeper: Caldwell (NC State)
157: Poeta (Ill) dec. Gillespie (Edin) -I think the jump from 49 may cost Gillespie, as he is giving up size to these guys. But if he can frustrate Poeta when he's on top, he has a great shot --Sleeper: Leen (Cornell)
165: Perry (Iowa) dec. Tannenbaum (Mich) -Perry getting the monkey off his back last year was big, he brings alot of confidence on the mat with him. Close match in score, but I see Perry controlling it. --Sleeper: Cannon (AU)
174: Gavin (Pitt) dec. Browne (Neb) -I think Gavin is on a different level than most at the weight, but his style won't show it in score. He'll dominate almost every match he's in --Sleeper: Lucas (Hofstra)
184: Varner (ISU) maj. Todd (Mich) -Varner gets hot and puts Todd in the hurt locker --Sleeper: Kish (Minn)
197: Glenn (AU) dec. Tamillow (Northwestern) -This weight I think will have the best semi-finals matches if everyone wrestles to seed. In a Midlands finals rematch, Glenn takes his second title. Max Askren may come into the tournament with something to prove after a number one seed 0-2 performance last year. Could surprise a few. --Sleeper: Flaggert (OU)
285: Fox (Northwestern) dec. Pendergrast (Navy) -Really anyone's weight
