Coach Cael Sanderson got a verbal today from Nequa Valley, Illinios' 171 lber Chris Spangler. Chris' stock has risen more than almost any other wrestler in the nation this season. Two early season victories over Grant Gambrall (Iowa-recruit) and Brian Roddy (Northwestern-recruit) put him into the national spotlight. Spangler was also selected to wrestle in the prestigous Dapper Dan Match for team USA at 171.

If that isn't enough Spangler competed in 2007 at 119!!, winning 5th place at the Illinois State tournament. He is only two years removed from a state title at 103. Wow!!! Intriguing prospect to say the least.....
