I seriously doubt Keddy majors Smith. I agree that Keddy, along w/ Dan Vallimont may be two of the most improved wrestlers in the nation, but Smith is legit. The two wrestled a 3-point match the first month of the year, I'm sure Smith the true freshman has gotten better since then (Not to say Keddy has either, but I think Smith can close the gap).

willy-When is Mark Perry expected back? Any idea?
BTW, I wouldn't be so quick to concede those three points at 197, willy. You may or may not remember this (two weight classes and three months ago), but Beatty did beat Gabe Dretsch at Kaufman-Brand back in November.

You may or may not remember this (two weight classes and three months ago), but Beatty did beat Gabe Dretsch at Kaufman-Brand back in November. Being a long time hawk fan, I never concede any match! HEHE, I have seen Beatty many times this season wrestle his heart out at 197 and usually get manhandled. One of the best matches I seen all year was his match against Weakly of Ohio State. He won it in the 6th OT. Beatty is a great wrestler and is giving it up for the team at !97. He has a great heart and a ton of courage, but he gives up 25 pounds and alot of height to his opponents! He is a 174#er you know! I wrestled with giving this match to Boise State, and you are right Beatty just might pull it out! PS: I hope I get to see the video of the Falck vs Robles (ASU) match! I am looking forward to that one also!

I forgot to answer your Perry question!
The word I hear is he will be back on the mat a week from Friday vs Indiana (Feb 16). And Iowa also has Michigan two days later. So He should be going against Tannanbaum on February 18th!

Perry will be back Feb. 16? My sister had this operation and it took her a long time to recover. ( Yes she is a female, but this is not a simple operation, as how you recover. ) I hope he can come back strong. The NCAA Championships will lose a strong wrestler and a NCAA champion.
