I hope everyone takes a second to read about the future of this site. You may or may not know, but I have joined the team at www.theopenmat.com for the 2017-18 season and will be mainly covering high school, with some college and other stuff sprinkled in. Today actually marked my first set of high school rankings that I released. I hope everyone checks them out, as you should be doing anyways. The guys involved with TOM have been doing a great job and I am very happy to be aboard. D1CW will not go away, however my day-to-day involvement will be very minimal. I still intend to keep it for statistical/historical purposes. The large bulk of my time and energy will be spent towards TOM.

American 133-Josh Terao
Arizona State-Looks like a similar lineup as last season (for now?)
Brown-2x NCAA Qualifier Justin Staudenmayer returns
Buffalo-NCAA Qualifier Joe Ariola returns
Chattanooga-Not set in stone, but there could be some bumping up at the lower/middle weights
CSU-Bakersfield-NCAA Qualifier Sean Nickall going up, Possibility of 2x NCAA Qualifier Coleman Hammond moving
Drexel-Super Freshman Austin DeSanto getting the go ahead
Eastern Michigan-NCAA Qualifier Noah Gonser going up to 133

Maryland-Former NCAA Qualifier Tyler Goodwin back in at 133
Michigan State-True FR NCAA Qualifier Drew Hughes up at 174
NC State-2x NCAA Qualifier Jamal Morris going up a couple of weights. Others shuffling too?
Northwestern-NCAA Qualifier Johnny Sebastian back up to 174

Old Dominion-3x NCAA Qualifier Caleb Richardson appears as a Grad Student
Oregon State-Will Amar Dhesi be ready to start early on? Likely Cody Crawford..

It's back, it's back...after a couple year hiatus. The Coaches Poll. Those unfamiliar with it, I have polled coaches from all around the country about the Best wrestlers/coaches in various categories, such as "Best Pound for Pound", "Best Scrambler", "Best Assistant Coach" and so on. I have listed the voting results on the D1CW Site... d1collegewrestling.net/CoachesPoll.htmlAlso, I have went into more depth with the same subject on Sudden History Episode 40, plus I delve into two additional questions that were presented for the coaches... "What is your ideal National Duals format, if any" and "Name one rule change you would like to see to make the sport better" suddenhistory.libsyn.com/the-coaches-poll-sudden-history-episode-40
