125 - The 125 lbs weight class in the Western Wrestling conference looks to be lead by 2013 All American Tyler Cox of Wyoming and Josh Martinez of the Air Force, as the two are likely to engage in some fierce battles throughout the season. Also look for Utah Valley's Jade Rauser to be an NCAA qualifier this year as well.
133 - Rather open weight class at the moment, with no notable names returning.
141 - Same as 133
149 - Alex Kocer looks to be in route to become the Jackrabbits first four time WWC champion.
157 - When doing research, occasionally I am met with some pleasant surprises. I thought that Wyoming's Andy McCulley was a senior last year, but low and behold I was wrong. He has one year of eligibility remaining. He'll have to get past South Dakota State's Cody Pack, who won the WWC last year, but if 100% healthy I think he'll do just that. For those in attendance at the WWC's this upcoming season, look for this to possibly be the match of the tournament.
165 - Look for Iowa native Dakota Friesth of Wyoming to take the title here, although Joe Brewster of South Dakota State will be gunning for the title as well.
174 - Junior Hayden Zillmer of North Dakota State, looks to add a second WWC title to his resume.
184 - The 184 lbs weight class in the NCAA really cleared out last year with the graduation of four out of the eight All Americans. A darkhorse that could make his way onto the award stand this year is WWC champion hopeful Ben Stroh of Wyoming. He will have competition from North Dakota State's Kurtis Julson.
197 - In his final year as a Cowboy, look for Wyoming's Shane Woods to end his career with another WWC title.
HWT - The fight among the heavy's will be between returning WWC champion Evan Knutson of North Dakota State and Utah Valley's Adam Fager.
Five out of the six teams fight well amongst each other in this competitive conference. It's a shame that Northern Colorado seems at least at this time, to perhaps not have any qualifiers. I hope that the situation turns around for them.
