125 - The war for the title will be between Iowa State's Earl Hall and Oklahoma State's Eddie Klimara (if of course he is fully reinstated) as the two will most likely exchange victories in some fierce battles throughout the season. West Virginia sophomore Cory Steinbrook looks to most likely repeat a third place finish.
133 - I don't see anyone even coming close to touching Cody Brewer of Oklahoma. Not only will the Sooner junior dominate his conference, he could very well be a dark horse national champion for next season. With that said, I'm still anxious to see if Iowa State's John Meeks will have improved. He didn't quite have the rookie season that Cyclone fans had hoped for, but not everyone can come right into collegiate wrestling and make an immediate impact. Some need time to adjust, grow and mature. That may just have been the case with Meeks. It'll be interesting to find out.
141 - Oklahoma State sophomore Anthony Collica looks to add a second BIG XII title in what could very well end up as four one day, but in route to doing so, he'll have to once again get past Iowa State's Gabe Moreno.
149 - On paper it would seem that the title is already in the hands of Cowboy senior Josh Kindig of Oklahoma State. Yet, as well as he wrestled at certain times last year, most notably the NCAA's, he has been known to also slip up once in a while as well. I believe when the 2015 BIG XII's are done, he'll be the champion. Never put it past Iowa State's Luke Goettl to pull out a huge upset at an opportune time and West Virginia's Mike Morales looks to make the most out of his final season as a Mountaineer.
157 - Weak and rather open weight class, which is funny to say, considering how loaded 157 is as a whole next year. It just doesn't seem to be at the present time in the BIG XII. I think one of three people will win this weight class. Justin DeAngelis of Oklahoma, Tim Wheeling of West Virginia or Logan Molina of Iowa State.
165 - I'd have really liked to have seen Iowa State's Mike Moreno win a BIG XII title before he graduated, but with Oklahoma State's Alex Dieringer moving up from 157, I don't know how plausible of an outcome that will be. Now what I will say though, is that we haven't seen Dieringer against opponents at 165 lbs yet. Now 8 lbs may not seem like that much to the common man, but to a wrestler it can seem like 100. Dieringer was virtually unstoppable at 157, but will be have the same strengths at 165? If he does, look out, because no one will touch him. Yet, if he doesn't, then Moreno may stand a chance at earning that title after all.
174 - He doesn't get near the recognition that Nebraska's Jake Sueflohn does, but if you want another guy that is one of the best going into his senior year to not yet have an All American award, think no further than Iowa State's Tanner Weatherman. His finals opponent looks to be West Virginia's Bubba Scheffel at the moment, although I'm sure whoever Oklahoma State has on board to replace the absence of Chris Perry will be good.
184 - Even though there isn't technically an official BIG XII team title anymore, this weight class is really where the team title could be won or lost depending on the outcome of the match between the Cyclone's Leland Weatherspoon and the Cowboy's Nolan Boyd.
197 - Potential NCAA champion Kyven Gadson shouldn't even have to break a sweat adding another BIG XII title to his resume.
HWT - I wonder if referees will hand him over the BIG XII title, like they did an All American award last year at the NCAA's. I don't mean to make a knock on the guy, because it wasn't his fault, but I've never seen a guy get hosed worse than Boise State's J.T. Felix did against Oklahoma State's Austen Marsden in the R12 last year. Nevertheless, it's also important to note that Marsden's defense also won him a BIG XII title last year and a win over Northwestern's Mike McMullan. I think he win's the title here with West Virginia's A.J. Vicarrando and Oklahoma's Ross Larson battling it out for 2nd place. Quean Smith of Iowa State could surprisingly find himself in the mix up somewhere as well.
I think the team title will be a close battle between the Cowboys and the Cyclones heavily dependent on head to head matches between Hall and Klimara, Collica and G. Moreno, Dieringer and M.Moreno and Boyd and Weatherspoon. I'd like to see the Mountaineers crown an individual champion of their own, but I just don't see that happening.
