2013-14 D1CW Pac 12 Wrestler of the Year: Jake Swartz (Boise State) After a couple years of close calls, Boise State's 184lber Jake Swartz was finally able to make it onto the podium. He entered his final NCAA Championship as the 6th seed and finished in 7th Place. His record in a shortened Senior season was 17-3, which brought his career mark up to 91-30. In Pac 12 Championship action, Swartz was a 3x Conference Champion.
2013-14 D1CW Pac 12 Coach of the Year: Jason Borrelli (Stanford) The Stanford Cardinal, led by Head Coach Jason Borrelli, experienced one of the best seasons in program history. In the dual meet season, the Cardinal posted a 17-5 record with wins over Michigan, Central Michigan and Boise State. At the Pac 12 Championships four Stanford wrestlers captured titles, a program best. Overall five wrestlers qualified for the NCAA Tournament, tying a program best. This is the second time Jason Borrelli has been named D1CW's Pac 12 Coach of the Year.
2013-14 D1CW Freshman of the Year: James Wilson (Stanford) One of the four Pac 12 Champions for Stanford was Freshman James Wilson. James started his career winning his first 15 bouts, a streak that included a title at the Roadrunner Open and a win over then-#6 Dan Yates of Michigan. Wilson's 35 wins tied him for second in program history, by a Freshman, with NCAA Champ Matt Gentry. He concluded his rookie season with two wins at the NCAA Championships.
