2013-14 D1CW Big 12 Wrestler of the Year: Chris Perry (Oklahoma State) Chris Perry capped his storied career by repeating as the NCAA Champion at 174 lbs. Perry defeated former NCAA Champ Andrew Howe to win his 4th Big 12 Championship, then two weeks later shut out Howe 4-0 to capture the second title. In the regular season he won his second consecutive Southern Scuffle title, by defeating his 2013 NCAA Finals opponent, Matt Brown of Penn State. Perry's finished as a 3x All-American with a 125-11 career record.
2013-14 D1CW Big 12 Coach of the Year: John Smith (Oklahoma State) For the second consecutive season and third time in four years, Oklahoma State Head Coach John Smith has been named D1CW's Big 12 Coach of the Year. OSU had two individual NCAA Champions Alex Dieringer and Chris Perry. As a team the Cowboys, finished third at the NCAA Championships and had a total of five All-Americans. At the Big 12 Championships, Oklahoma State crowned six individual conference champions and qualified all ten wrestlers for Nationals.
2013-14 D1CW Big 12 Freshman of the Year: Anthony Collica (Oklahoma State) True Freshman Anthony Collica finished his True Freshman season with a 31-9 record and was one match away from earning All-American honors. In the consolation Round of 16, Collica upset the #7 seed Zach Horan, a wrestler who had defeated him earlier in the season. Anthony Collica started his collegiate career winning his first eleven matches, a streak that included titles at the Oklahoma City Open, the Central Missouri Open and a runner-up finish at the Joe Parisi Open.
