^^^I just want to mention my hwt pick Brandan Barlow. The reason Barlow wasn't starting this past season was that Kent State had Porter, one of the best hwts in the nation at that weight. This past season Barlow won the CSU Open, placed 7th at the Southern Scuffle, and was 20-6 wrestling unattached. Then in April '09 Barlow finished top 12 at the University National freestyle tournament, competing at 120 kg (264 pounds). Barlow's already rather accomplished and is a good-sized hwt. As much as I like VT's Bruce, I just don't see Bruce beating Barlow. Whatever - we'll soon find out!

Hey Earl,
Are you going to keep tabs on the "standings" with the pick'ems, or is it up to the individual poster?

When I was at InterMat, I'd keep standings based on who wrestled, etc. As in ... if a match doesn't contain the wrestlers listed, it was tossed, but there were several ways of keeping overall wins/losses individually.

Maybe some categories
Dual Win Outcome Record:
Individual Match Outcome Record (regardless of wrestlers)
Match Outcome Record (only competing wrestlers, picked wrestlers)
Exact Picks Individual Record (picks nailed exactly right, i.e. MD, TF, FALL)

Could be another thing to get more fans paying attention to programs outside of their comfort zone.

^^^We do a Penn State dual-meet prediction contest over on the WR.com Penn State Forum, but keep it light and just say who wins the contest for the particular dual meet. We ask each poster to predict the final team score (winning team, or tie, and exact team score) and the final out come of a particular weight class - who wins, score, time of pin, etc. So we have two winners - winner of team prediction, and winner of weight class prediction. Tie breaker is who poster sooner.

Yes I was intending on keeping track of the standings. I also like those records you posted, I will see how those work out also.

hes not making it today. he just has to learn to manage his weight better. learning experience for him and the coaches.

Well,

I dont think I got any of my bonus picks right, but I went 10/10 in matches so I guess thats not too shabby
